On Valentine's Day, Max George hosted Maisie Smith for a candlelit supper on the beach in Dubai.
Fans said that it "would have been the perfect proposal," and believe that Maisie must have thought so too! Since it was not - some fans were disappointed with the guitarist, claiming that in effect, he has lead the "poor girl" on.
With red roses, candles, a saxophonist, and fairy lights for the outside dinner, the Wanted member, 35, went all out for the actress, 22. Maisie looked gorgeous in a backless pale blue dress, rouge lip, and red love heart earrings.
The pair posted a video of Maisie strolling along the beach to the romantic setup, along with a variety of photos from their evening, on Instagram. Max wished his lovely girl a happy Valentine's Day, while Maisie accompanied her photo with the words "Season of love."

However, fans speculate that the actress might have been let down because the location was so lovely and ideal for a proposal.

"This is the ideal proposal; it would have definitely raised my hopes," said one person, to which another said, "I had the exact same thought!"
The two were part of the the 18th series of the BBC reality show in 2020. The 22-year-old advanced to the final but was unable to top Bill Bailey and Oti Mabuse's incredible routine to Queen's The Show Must Go On, therefore losing out on the coveted Glitterball Trophy.
After meeting on the 2020 season of "Strictly Come Dancing," Max and Maisie became friends for two years before starting a romantic relationship in the summer of 2022.
Max apparently didn't spend much time with Maisie at the time and was seeing Stacey Giggs. But the Strictly Come Dancing Tour brought the two back together and supposedly allowed them to get closer. They went to Portugal for a group vacation with the complete Strictly cast in the summer of 2022. After being caught cuddling on a plane on their way to a romantic vacation in Crete, they went official on Instagram when it was revealed Maisie will be competing in Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins.
Early in the new year, Max and Maisie moved in together. Julia, the mother of the former EastEnder, gave a glimpse of her leaving the family home at that time.
