Robin Windsor's cause of death has yet to be disclosed, but his colleagues knew how tough his last days were.
Windsor's dance company, Burn The Floor, confirmed his death in a Facebook post. Sisco Entertainment also shared a separate update to honor the late dancer.
Robin Windsor's Final Days Explored
On Instagram, Windsor's "Strictly Come Dancing" costar Kristina Rihanoff shared the story about their friendship while also giving her followers a sneak peek of the "excruciating pain" he felt.
According to Rihanoff, the back injury Windsor sustained left him extremely and absolutely destroyed.
"He always found a way to bring my spirit up. However his own spirit was absolutely destroyed when he was dropped from Strictly and that's where I started to see changes in his personality, depression and broken self-worth," part of her statement read.
Weeks before his death, Windsor seemingly hinted at his depression by posting a black and white selfie alongside the caption, "hiding in the shadows."
Windsor, who served as an ambassador for mental health charity Sane, previously talked about his struggles with depression. He disclosed that he was only 19 when he began feeling it, but dancing soon saved him.
He was forced to leave his stint after his slipped disc left him paralyzed for four days. However, he surprised everyone with his historic return in 2014 when he and Aljaz Skorjanec marked the show's first-ever same-sex dance.

The World Pays Tribute to Robin Windsor
On Facebook and X, Windsor's friends and fans honored him through their heartfelt comments for the late dancer.
One wrote, "So sad, lovely dancer and lovely man! He met my dog at the stage door, ( I was visiting from front of house staff) I'll never forget our conversation. He was getting a dog, how kind and humble he was."
"This is devastating news. So talented, caring & loved by everyone. Has passed far to young," another added. "Thinking of his family & friends, may you take comfort in seeing this outpouring of love for such a beautiful, talented & loving gentleman."
"So very sad another great has left to Dance among the Stars ..Condolences to all his Family , Colleagues and friends R.I.P Bobby," a third said.
