Zayn Malik is gearing up to release a new album in the coming months. Rumors of his new "unexpected" collaborator has been reported online.
The news came months after he last released a new song, but seemed to not capture significant attention.

Pop Crave reports that Zayn Malik is working on his next album.
According to the pop culture source, Malik is set to work with an "unexpected" collaborator for his yet-untitled-new album.
The new record is reportedly a "completely new sonic direction" and his "most personal project to date."
The source furthered that the record was written about the last seven years of his life.

In the past months, Zayn Malik's appearance had been sporadic. One of the few interviews he gave in the past year seemingly alluded to the reason why he left One Direction.
"I completely, selfishly wanted to be the first person to go and make my own record, if I'm being completely honest with you. I was like, 'I'm gonna jump the gun here for the first time.' I'm a passive dude, but when it comes to my music and my business, I'm serious about it and I'm competitive. So I wanted to be the first to go and do my own thing," he told the "Call Her Daddy" podcast.
Elsewhere in the same interview, Malik opened up that aside from the "selfish" reason that he had when leaving the band; another reason why Zayn Malik left One Direction was because of internal politics.
Earlier this January 2024, Zayn Malik attended Kenzo's Fall/Winter 2024-2025 menswear show in Paris, France where his foot was seemingly run over by a car when he was being chased by fans down the street.
Thankfully, on Instagram, Zayn checked in with his fans and assured them that he's alright.
"@kenzo @nigo Thanks for a great show!" he wrote, adding: "My foot is fine !! Thanks to my incredibly well-made shoes," he said, posting a photo of his white sneakers with dirt skid marks.

Zayn Malik New Music
In 2023, he released "Love Like This" after signing with Mercury Records.
The move came after he wiped his Instagram after reports emerged that he would be experimenting with a new sound.
Sadly, the song did not capture significant attention and only charted on the Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100 on its No. 12 spot.
