Steven Tyler's sexual assault lawsuit has been dismissed by a judge after it fell beyond New York City's new law that would allow victims to sue their harassers beyond the statute of limitations.

Tyler has been accused by multiple women of sexually harassing them in the past.

Steven Tyler Sexual Assault Lawsuit Dismissed

People Magazine reports that US District Judge Lewis Kaplan ruled that Steven Tyler's case of sexually assaulting a teenage girl in 1975 has been dismissed.

The ruling revealed that Jeanne Bellino, "waited too long to bring the case to light" as it failed to qualify under the New York City law that allows victims to sue their harassers despite being decades-old claims.

Kaplan pointed out that the law only applies to cases where the abusers presented a "serious risk of physical injury"

"The complaint in this case does not alleged conduct presenting a serious risk of physical injury and therefore fails to state a legally sufficient claim under the [statute]," the judge wrote in his response.

However, Bellino wrote to the court that after she filed the lawsuit, she was not served with Tyler's motion, thus, as a result, she was not able to oppose it. She then asked to have the case "stricken," following the unfortunate news.

Meanwhile, Tyler's legal camp was delighted with the development.

"We agree with the court's reasoning and are grateful for this result for our client Steven Tyler," they said.

Steven Tyler Sexually Assaulted A Teen In 1975

In a filing obtained by Page Six, Jeanne Bellino, who was 17 years old at the time, claimed that in the summer of 1975, she was sexually assaulted by Steven Tyler in a phone booth in Manhattan while the rest of his band were laughing and watching them from the outside.

Bellino, a model back then, met up with Aerosmith then at the Warwick Hotel for a party. As they left the party, Bellino, her friend, Tyler, and "around a half a dozen people" who were affiliated with the band began walking down 6th Avenue in Manhattan.

When Bellino tried to talk to Tyler, the vocalist got annoyed and forced her inside a nearby phone booth.

She also said in the lawsuit that Tyler was "humping her" in the booth while the others stood outside and laughed at them.

"Tyler forcefully inserted his tongue into Plaintiff's mouth, without her consent," the lawsuit reads. "Tyler's penis was erect and it was evident to her as he rubbed it against her that he was not wearing underwear and wearing thin pants."
