Ellie Goulding, Caspar Jopling Officially Separated After 4 Years of Marriage

After four years of marriage, singer Ellie Goulding has separated from her husband, Caspar Jopling.

The news came a year after rumors that she had cheated with Ed Sheeran over Niall Horan despite not even dating any of the two singers.

The British popstar shared the shocking announcement on her Instagram Stories. (via Page Six)

"In light of recent stories, I feel I have been left with no choice but to let you all know that Caspar and I privately separated some time ago," the singer wrote. "We remain the closest of friends and have been successfully co-parenting with our sons (sic) best interests at heart."

Goulding and Jopling, an art dealer, share a 2-year-old son, Arthur, together.

"We are committed to protecting our family privacy and thank people in advance for respecting our wishes - we won't be commenting further," she added.

Arthur confirmed the breakup on his side on his own Instagram account.

"I feel (sadly) that I need to say something on mine and Ellie's current relationship, that I hope more than anything will make any final tabloid speculation disappear," he wrote, before revealing that they had broken up before the announcement. "Ellie and I made the decision to separate some time ago."

Jopling also revealed that their close friends and family already knew the separation for quite some time. Like Goulding, Jopling asked for privacy during these trying times.

Jopling and Goulding were engaged in 2018, wed in 2019, and welcomed their son in 2021.

Ellie Goulding New Boyfriend Revealed?

The news came after Ellie Goulding was spotted with Costa Rican surfer Armando Perez recently.

"When Armando wasn't teaching Ellie, he couldn't keep his hands off her and pulled her in for a hug and a kiss," a The Sun insider revealed. "Ellie looked blissfully happy and was laughing and joking with him as they messed around in the sea."

Meanwhile, Goulding has been linked to other men before.

In February 2023, she cleared up speculation that she cheated on Ed Sheeran with Niall Horan. The dubious claims caused "a lot of trauma" to the "Lights" singer at the time. She clarified that she never dated Sheeran nor Horan, despite intensified speculation at the time.
