Ariana Grande made a successful comeback at the top of the charts with the arrival of Eternal Sunshine. on the Billboard 200 albums chart.

Eternal Sunshine is her sixth album that has reached the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 albums chart.

Luminate recorded that Eternal Sunshine raked in 227,000 album units in the United States, making it the largest week for any album in 2024.

Streaming largely powered the albums' No. 1 spot on the chart with 148,000 album units, equalling 194.92 million streams of the albums. Meanwhile, physical album sales totaled 77,000 units, making it the top-selling album of the week. Meanwhile, track units are around 2,000.

It has since surpassed Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign's Vultures 1, which opened at 148,000 units last February 2024. This was West and Ty Dolla Sign's first collaborative album.

Grande's album release was further bolstered by her appearance as a musical guest on "Saturday Night Live," where she performed "We Can't Be Friends (Wait for Your Love)' and 'Imperfect for You." She also appeared with Cynthia Erivo at the 2024 Oscars to present the Academy Award for Best Original Song as part of their "Wicked" promotion.

Eternal Sunshine is Grande's sixth album to have topped the Billboard 200 charts. It followed Positions in 2020, Thank You, Next in 2019, Sweetener in 2018, My Everything in 2014, and Your's Truly in 2013. The only album that hasn't reached No. 1 was 2016's Dangerous Woman, which only reached No. 2 after being blocked by Drake's Views.

Billboard 200 Top 10

After making a career milestone last week, Morgan Wallen's One Thing At A Time dropped to No. 2 on the Billboard 200. Noah Kahan's Stick Season also moved down a spot, pushing Kanye West's and Ty Dolla Sign's Vultures 1 and SZA's SOS down to the No. 4 and No. 5 spots. (via Billboard)

The remaining spots were also occupied by former No. 1s, starting from Zach Bryan's self-titled album at No. 6, Drake's For All The Dogs, Taylor Swift's 1989 (Taylor's Version) at No. 8, and Lover drops to No. 9, while Morgan Wallen's Dangerous: The Double Album rounds out the Top 10.
