Lenny Kravitz fully intends to slow down and savor his Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nomination despite a promise he made himself as an up-and-coming artist.

"I promised myself when I was coming up I never took the time to enjoy those kinds of things," the "Fly Away" hitmaker said during his appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Billboard reports.

"I was always moving forward, not thinking about the past or what was happening. So, I said when this stuff starts happening again, I'm going to take the time, and I'm going to enjoy the moments because it's beautiful."

Kravitz was announced as one of the 2024 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominees, alongside Mariah Carey, Cher, Mary J. Blige, Sade, Dave Matthews Band, Eric B & Rakim, Foreigner, Jane's Addition, Kool & The Gang, Oasis, Sinead O' Connor, Ozzy Osbourne, A Tribe Called Quest, and Peter Frampton.

The "It Ain't Over Til It's Over" singer rose to prominence in the early '90s, and is still making and releasing music.

"It's a beautiful thing," the singer-slash-actor added.

Kravitz is currently gearing up to release his 12th studio album, Blue Electric Light, which is about "celebration, life, humanity, sexuality, sensuality, spirituality."

According to reports, the singer also gave Fallon and the audience a taste of what will come from his upcoming project by performing "Human," a song about "spiritual beings having a human existence, the journey, man."
