Teddy Swims' Lose Control' Billboard Hot 100

Thanks to increased play on radio, "Lose Control" reached the Billboard Hot 100 chart summit with 59.1 million radio airplay impressions. The single also received 23.2 million streams and sold 8,000 copies, as reported by Luminate

Currently, the song is No. 3 on the Radio Songs Chart, No. 4 on the Streaming Songs Chart, and No. 6 on the Digital Song Sales Chart. On the airplay charts, "Lose Control" holds steady at No. 1 in its second week at the Adult Pop Airplay ranking, while it streamed upward on the Alternative Airplay to No. 2 and No. 4 on the Pop Airplay chart.

The recent uptick in plays was bolstered by a Tiësto remix and a radio edit, which joins the other released versions of the song, an acapella, instrumental, a piano version, a string version, a slowed one, and sped-up mix, a BBC Radio 1 live session, a Nashville's Ryman Auditorium live performance, and finally a Goddard remix.

Billboard also reported that "Lose Control" has now completed the longest climb ever to the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart by a solo male artist. It took Swims 32 weeks before landing at the top spot. It debuted at No. 99 in June 2023.

Teddy Swims Celebrates' Lose Control' Success

Teddy Swims spoke to Billboard about the incredible feat by celebrating with two tequila shots. Swims has described receiving the news as "amazing" and "great." Swims has also revealed that the moment he learned of the news, he called his mother to inform her of his recent success.

Swims previously explained the songs' origins to the publication and revealed that he was "grateful" for the heartbreaking experience that led him to write the record.

"I think it's so great to know that that pain is necessary because ... pain is paying the bills still. I'm trying to stop putting myself in positions to get hurt, because you'll always have to do that, but they say the best revenge is success."
