Diddy and Jennifer Lopez dated in the early 2000s and were called the biggest hip-hop couple from 1999 to 2001.

Now, as Diddy's dirty laundry is being exposed in a number of lawsuits and federal raids of his homes, fans are convinced that the rapper was who Jennifer Lopez was referencing in her documentary The Greatest Love Story Never Told.

At one point in the film, she said: "Being thrown around and manhandled like that is not fun. I was never in a relationship where I got beat up, thank God, but I've definitely been manhandled and a couple of other unsavory things ... rough ... disrespectful."

When the movie was released, many of Jennifer Lopez's fans were curious about who she was referring to. Although Lopez didn't name names, fans were convinced that it was Sean "Diddy" Combs.

People on social media seem to agree, as Jennifer Lopez's previous relationships seemed to have ended on a good note, except her time with Diddy.

Fans Think Diddy Was the One to be Blamed

On Reddit, Jennifer Lopez fans seem to agree that she was indeed referencing Diddy as the individual who had hurt her.

In a People magazine interview in 2003, she recalled that it was her "first time" that she was with someone who "wasn't faithful."

"I was in this relationship with Puff where I was totally crying, crazy and going nuts, it really took my whole life in a tailspin ... I never caught him, but I just knew. He'd say he was going to a club for a couple of hours and then never come back that night," she recalled.

Fans also pointed out that the allegations of sexual assault against Diddy seem to suggest that he may have also mistreated Lopez.

"Bet you it was Diddy! Luckily Jen got out safely before she 'died of a heart attack' or some sh-- cause she knew too much," one noted.

"Considering a bunch of allegations of P.Diddy are coming out ... I wonder if there's a connection between to speaking out publicly now. Either way I hope she's doing better now!" another echoed.
