Zayn Malik and Miley Cyrus: The musical collaboration we've all secretly wanted?
It appears that there is a chance this could happen. The former One Direction member made a personal plea on a live stream to Cyrus, asking to collaborate.
On Monday, Malik spoke with fans on the live-streaming platform Stationhead.
Zayn Malik Wants to Work With Miley Cyrus
He talked about his future goals and his upcoming songs, including how he would like to work with Cyrus.
In addition to being a personal fan of the pop star's music, the 31-year-old stated in fan-recorded portions of the stream that went viral on social media that he would love to get into the studio with her.
"I like her recent music a lot. She's got a sick voice," Malik noted..
The R&B-pop singer hinted that Cyrus' pop-rock sound fits in well with what he's aiming for on his new album, Room Under the Stairs, which is out on May 17.

He said, "I think we could do something really cool together, especially in line with what my new record sounds like."
"Miley, if you hear this and you're interested, I'm here. Let's do something," he invited.
Artists Zayn Malik Collaborated With
Malik has collaborated with A-list artists before on various projects.
Apart from pairing up with Taylor Swift on one-off songs like "I Don't Wanna Live Forever" from the Fifty Shades Darker soundtrack, he has had features on his albums from Kehlani, Nicki Minaj, Sia, and other artists throughout his solo career.
Meanwhile on the same live stream, fans also think that Malik might have hinted at an impending tour. One of his die-hard admirers asked him if he would consider playing the smash song "Sweat" on future live dates.
He responded, "Ummm, yes, that is the answer. Umm, yeah, I'd be stupid not to."
