Lizzo Fans Beg Singer to Not Quit

After Lizzo stated on Friday that she was staying away from the spotlight due to ongoing public scrutiny, her fans swiftly came together to support the singer.

When the 35-year-old Truth Hurts hitmaker announced online that she had "quit" because she was "tired of getting dragged by everyone," she created quite a stir.

She is currently the target of a harassment lawsuit, and before that, even though her music made waves, trolls and haters could not stop commenting about her weight and everything else.

According to Daily Mail UK, social media users immediately flocked to the comment section to discuss the shocking action. One fan said, "You better not!!!!""

"Gurl you can't quit, keeping showing that haters who's boss! You're untouchably talented and we are grateful you share it with us all," another said.

It's not clear whether Lizzo's sudden outburst has anything to do with the backlash she has been getting after filing a harassment suit, as she did not directly say so in her post.

However, it can be recalled that three of the singer's former dancers, Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams, and Noelle Rodriguez, filed a notable lawsuit against her in August of last year, alleging that she had harassed them sexually and fostered a toxic work environment.

The hate intensified when President Joe Biden chose Lizzo to perform at his $25million Radio City fundraiser.

The three dancers' attorney, Ron Zambrano, reacted that it is pretty "shameful" that Lizzo would be chosen to headline an event like this even in the face of such allegations.

"Without getting into the politics, I can't imagine why anyone would want Lizzo representing them in any way given her reprehensible behavior. It's just a terrible look," he said.

In the August 2023 lawsuit, the former dancers also accused Lizzo of weight-shaming and stated that they were made to touch a nude performer at an Amsterdam strip club.

Apart from denying the allegations, Lizzo never said how she's feeling from all these attacks.
