Lady Gaga just celebrated her 38th birthday last week. Compared to her extravagant celebration years ago, the pop star opted for a much simpler dinner with some of her closest friends and boyfriend.

According to People magazine, the "Bad Romance" hitmaker celebrated her special day at the celebrity favorite restaurant Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica, Calif.

The singer was joined by a few of her friends and her longtime boyfriend, Michael Polansky.

In photos circulating online, the pop star donned an all-black outfit featuring a leather trenchcoat, a purse, her signature towering boots, and a pair of sunglasses.

Lady Gaga, Michael Polansky Looked Happy During Birthday Celebration

According to an insider of the outlet, the singer arrived with her boyfriend and although she was not smiling in photos that were released on social media, the source said she "seemed great."

While the singer, who is known for her over-the-top fashion throughout her career, wore an extravagant outfit, Polansky opted for casual clothing.

"They looked happy together... He let her shine and made sure she had everything she needed," a source noted.

They reportedly celebrated the birthday in a private room with "a small group of friends." Throughout their stay at the restaurant, they dined over a prix fixe menu featuring Italian specialties like pasta, steak, and antipasti.

"She was smiling and laughing all night... It was a fun celebration," the insider added.

Is Lady Gaga Getting Engaged to Michael Polansky Soon?

Per the outlet, the couple have been linked since early 2020 after they were spotted kissing each other during a New Year's Eve party. They have been spotted together several times since.

In a report published by the outlet a year after their romance took off, it was revealed by a source that the two of them act like a married couple, but the pair wasn't in a rush about getting engaged soon at the time.

Both Gaga and Polansky remain lowkey with their relationship, but the insider noted that they share the love for charity as the pop star's boyfriend is the executive director of the Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy while Gaga founded the Born This Way Foundation that focuses on young people's mental health and wellness.
