Nicki Minaj's husband is back in the headlines after his new sex offender registry photo has spread around social media.

Published on the Megan's Law website, Kenneth Petty's new photo has been made public, alongside his personal details like date of birth and profile description. The reason for his conviction is also listed, stated as "Attempted rape by force or fear."

Petty's status as a sex offender comes after he was charged with first-degree rape of a 16-year-old girl in 1995. He spent four years in prison for the crime.

Once he and Minaj moved to California in 2022, he was given three years probation and one year of house detention in 2022 after failing to register as a sex offender in the state.

Following the new photo's placement on the website, several social media users spotted it on the Megan's Law website, flooding X with screenshots and callbacks to Minaj's recent online spar with Megan Thee Stallion.

The "Super Freaky Girl" singer went on a social media rampage after Megan Thee Stallion seemingly shaded her on her "Hiss" single earlier this year. The lyrics read: "These hoes don't be mad at Megan, these hoes mad at Megan's Law/ I don't really know what the problem is, but I guarantee y'all don't want me to start."

The bars thrust Minaj into a spiral on X, posting about her disapproval of the lyrics and calling the "Savage" singer "Big Foot," a callback to her injury after Tory Lanez had reportedly shot at her feet.

The viral attention on their disagreement launched Megan Thee Stallion's "Hiss" to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 1. The controversy led the "Super Bass" rapper to release an alleged diss track, also titled "Big Foot," which came in at No. 23 on the chart.

Megan's Law is named after seven-year-old Megan Kanka, a young girl who was horrifically raped and murdered by a sexual predator who had not been registered as such in their New Jersey neighborhood. The tragic event occurred when Jesse Timmendequas - who had previously been convicted of child molestation - lured her into his house in 1994.

The new photo comes just a week after Minaj and Petty were ordered to pay former security guard Thomas Weidenmuler $500,000 after an alleged assault. A Los Angeles judge ruled that the couple must pay up after the backstage beating left him with a broken jaw.

The situation occurred two years ago when Petty allegedly ambushed him from behind and punched him in the face. The move came after Weidenmuller had defended a female security guard while she was sparring with the "Barbie Dreams" rapper during a 2019 concert in Germany.

According to the plaintiff, Minaj had become angry when a fan had climbed over the barricade and jumped onstage with her mid-concert. After she became visibly upset with the woman for allowing it to happen, Minaj started to record their argument as she berated her. Once Weidenmuller called her out for taping the battle, the "Anaconda" singer threw a shoe at him. After she missed, Petty later accused him of disrespecting Minaj and punched him.

Minaj is currently embarking on her Pink Friday 2 World Tour throughout the U.S., before it goes global.
