Morgan Wallen's arrest in Nashville after being intoxicated seemed to have confirmed suspicions that he's been suffering from a deeper problem mentally.

It is public record that the Country music superstar has had various run-ins with authorities because of his intoxication, and last weekend's arrest is not an exception.

Morgan Wallen's Alcohol Problem

According to a People source close to Wallen, it seemed like the "Last Night" singer isn't his usual self when he's around alcohol.

"Morgan is generally a nice, fun person to hang out with, but when he gets going he doesn't know when to stop," the insider disclosed. "Morgan and alcohol is a problem and it's been a problem that keeps coming back around."

Wallen was recently arrested on Apr. 7, 2024, at Eric Church's newly-opened Chief's bar in Nashville after he threw a chair from the rooftop to the ground. Unfortunately, the chair landed next to a police cruiser, and the cops headed upstairs to confront the suspect.

"At 10:53p Sunday evening Morgan Wallen was arrested in downtown Nashville for reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct," Wallen's lawyer said in a statement. "He is cooperating fully with authorities."

The arrest came after he started his One Night At A Time Tour in Indianapolis. He's set to perform at the Nissan Stadium on May 2 and 3, 2024, on the same day he appears on court.

Morgan Wallen Public Intoxication History

This was not the first time that Wallen faced issues and the authorities when he was under the influence.

In 2020, Wallen was arrested for public intoxication and disorderly conduct charges in the same area, in Broadway, Nashville.

In 2021, he then faced intense public scrutiny when he was filmed on video saying the N-word while being drunk on a night out with friends. The label suspended his contract, he was disqualified from the 2021 ACM Awards, and his songs were removed from the radio.

Wallen has since explained his rebellious side in an interview with People.

"I've not ever been the one to follow the rules as much as some people..everybody pretty much knows what you do. They expect you to behave a certain way, and if you don't, they scold you. I absolutely hated that growing up, and I think a lot of my tendencies come from that," he revealed, sharing that he grew up as a preacher's son in Sneedville, Tennessee.
