Madonna's final show in Miami on her Celebration tour took an emotional turn as she paid tribute to the victims of the Pulse Nightclub shooting incident.

According to Billboard, the pop icon took the stage at the Kaseya Center and delivered a speech to honor the victims of the Pulse Nightclub massacre, one of the worst shootings in American history. 49 people were killed and 53 others were wounded.

While addressing the crowd, the singer appeared emotional and said: "I want to remind you that we have not all been so lucky... I want to draw attention to that moment because nightclubs and music and dance are what bring us together."

Madonna added that nightclubs shouldn't be places that bring people sadness, murder, tragedy, death, and trauma.

Madonna Shares Love and Support for the LGBTQIA+ Community

Later, the singer expressed her love and support for the LGBTQIA+ community, saying that she would always stand for them because they had always stood for her.

"That was the biggest terrorist attack in America after 9/11... People getting together to dance in a club that was inclusive and full of love," she said.

The singer added that the day of the shooting was Latin Night, and people who attended the venue were dancing to Latin music until someone with two guns arrived and started murdering people.

Madonna Invited Pulse Nightclub Survivors to Her Concert

Madonna then revealed that she invited some of the survivors of the harrowing incident as well as the families of those who passed away. The singer called out their names and expressed gratitude for attending the show.

"This sh-- is not supposed to happen. Don't forget about it," she noted.

According to CNN, Omar Mateen, who was 29 years old at the time, arrived at the Pulse Nightclub in the early hours of June 12, 2016. He reportedly carried an assault rifle and a pistol and started shooting patrons at around 2 a.m. 49 people were killed, and at least 53 were wounded.
