Lang Lang, popularly known for his impressive skills and has been recognized internationally for years, has finally received his Hollywood Walk of Fame star. To celebrate his success, he played the piano in front of a live audience during his ceremony.

According to ABC7, Lang Lang has sold millions of albums worldwide and dominated the classical charts for years. In addition, he was also given a chance to perform for some of the most prominent world leaders, such as Queen Elizabeth II and former President Barack Obama.

During his speech, the musician credited his parents for his success, saying, "My parents pushed me a lot as a kid, but it was kind of a good push. That is why I am here today," said Lang Lang. "For me, there is nothing better than sharing the gift of music."

Lang Lang Wants People to Play Instruments

He added that music is the secret to life, and he wants to teach and inspire many people to learn how to play an instrument, whether it be the piano or another.

Later, Lang Lang noted that music is a common ground for everyone in the world, regardless of where people come from.

"Whether you grew up in Beijing or Boston, it reminds us we are not that different at all... I believe that classical music is very exciting, very loving and it's a fantasy world. It's certainly not boring," he added.

How Did Lang Lang Become Famous?

Lang Lang was born on June 14, 1982. Music has been a part of his life since he was a kid, as both of his parents were musicians.

At age two, he was motivated to learn the piano after watching an episode of Tom and Jerry. By the age of three, he started his piano lessons and performed at his first recital by age five.

Lang Lang became internationally renowned after joining the Chicago Symphony Orchestra for the Gala of the Century concert.

At the time, he was a last-minute replacement soloist.

Since then, he has continued amassing major success as he was named one of the 100 most influential people in the world by TIME magazine. He also performed at the Beijing Olympics 2008, the 2014 FIFA World Cup, several Grammy Awards shows, and more.
