Paloma Faith expressed how devastated she was after canceling her London show.
In her latest Instagram post, the "Only Love Can Hurt Like This" singer confirmed she would not push through with her scheduled show at the Eventim Apollo, citing health issues. The stop was part of her U.K. tour.
Why Did Paloma Faith Cancel Her London Show?
According to Faith, her doctors advised her to have a vocal rest as she could not physically sing due to laryngitis. The health issue caused her voice box inflammation.
"I am utterly devastated, performing for you all is my favourite thing in the world," she said after revealing that her laryngitis was caused by a virus she contracted. "I also want to acknowledge those of you that flew in from other countries or travelled long distances. I am very very sad and very sorry. It's been taken out of my hands, I have been told I must listen to the medical professionals, so that I am able to return to perform for you, without causing long term damage."
The "Never Tear Us Apart" songstress has yet to confirm whether she could make it to her Cardiff and Brighton shows.
Fans showered her with well wishes in the comments section and expressed their hopes for her fast recovery.
One fan wrote, "I'm very sad to hear this, but of course you must do what's best. I know you're disappointed. Take care of yourself always."
"Look after yourself - my mum and daughter loved your show in Nottingham," a second said, while a third added, "We know how much you love touring and performing so understand this decision wasn't made lightly. sending you lots of recovery wishes and plenty of ginger tea! See you back on stage soon."

Paloma Faith Loves Touring
Speaking with The Mirror in a past interview, Faith opened up about her love for touring and how it became her favorite thing to do.
"It's the reason why I do this job, being on stage, connecting with people who are there to see me and sing my songs with me," she continued, branding it the "most privileged situation to be in."
Faith released her most recent album, The Glorification of Sadness, in February.
