Coldplay frontman Chris Martin may be one of the most prominent musicians in the world due to the impact he brought to his fans, but that doesn't mean he couldn't gush over someone he considers a big inspiration to him. More recently, the singer expressed his love and support for Kylie Minogue and recalled their first meeting.

TIME magazine named Kylie Minogue one of the 100 most influential people of 2024, and Martin wrote her profile to celebrate the big honor.

In the essay, the musician said the Australian pop superstar was one of the first people from television that he met in person.

"I had watched her in Neighbours every day for a decade. So when she came to an early Coldplay show, I'd already been her fan for nearly 15 years," he wrote.

Later, he gushed about the singer's impact on his life, saying she is "so inspiring" because she lives her life and works on her projects with "such passion and dedication."

Martin praised Minogue for being ahead of her time as the projects she releases seem to be ten years ahead of everyone else. He also applauded her for knowing how to be of service and making songs that her fans would love and adore for years.

"Kylie creates a space where everyone is safe to be themselves. When I look at her I feel hope. She's proof there are humans who don't judge," he added.

Later in the essay, Chris Martin recalled meeting Kylie Minogue for the first time, saying the experience was "otherworldly."

Even years after they met, the Coldplay singer said the Australian musician's star has never dimmed.

He concluded the letter by saying it was an honor and privilege to know Minogue; she deserves all the success and good things in her life.

In other updates, the "Padam Padam" hitmaker, who launched her career with a self-titled album in 1988, took to social media to celebrate her TIME 100 feature, saying she's honored to be on the list among "such stellar" personalities.

"This is mind-blowing to me and is making my heart FULLY Padam!! One of the #Time100," she wrote in the caption.
