Angel, the twin sister of Aaron Carter, shared her experiences dealing with the tragic losses of her siblings and the lasting impact of generational trauma on children.

Over the past few years, the 36-year-old has faced the heartbreaking losses of three siblings.

Leslie, aged 25, succumbed to substance abuse issues in 2012. Aaron, aged 34, was discovered lifeless in his bathtub in 2022 following the consumption of alprazolam and inhaling difluoroethane. In the following year, Bobbie Jean, at the age of 41, passed away due to the " impact of fentanyl and methamphetamine."

During a recent interview on CBS Mornings, Angel said, "There's certainly a generational dysfunction issue here that comes along with it, but as far as growing up, there was a time when we were a really close family."

She went on to explain," There was a lot of love."

While portraying love and warmth, Angel also expressed significant turmoil alongside it.

"My parents were just fighting all the time," the famous sister explained. "There was just dysfunction in the home. There were no boundaries, no stability, no one to talk to. It just felt like if I had an issue going on, I really couldn't have my parents to lean on."

Pondering the significant shifts within her family dynamics, she contemplated the profound impact of her brother Nick's abrupt catapult into the world of boy-band stardom.

"Nick has been in Backstreet Boys since I was four or five years old, so a really long time," Angel added.

Upon observing the steady flow of income, Angel later recognized a shift within their family dynamics as money emerged as the primary catalyst driving change.

"We were a family that had no money. We were from upstate New York. My parents were poor. And they had never seen anything like this before."
