Melanie Blatt is pursuing her solo career again this year with the hopes that the third time will be lucky after two failed attempts.

As a member of All Saints, she achieved five chart-topping singles, including "Pure Shores" and "Never Ever." Can Blatt finally make it?

Reportedly, Blatt has reconnected with British producer KDA, is back in the studio, and is getting set to drop her first single in over ten years.

Expectations are high because he achieved a No. 1 in 2015 with the song "Turn The Music Louder," a duet with Tinie Tempah and Katy B.

All Saints' Melanie Blatt Having a Hard Time Launching Solo Career?

Talking with the Sun UK, the insider said, "Mel isn't a very confident singer and it has taken a lot for her to get back in the studio."

The insider added, "but she has seen her bandmate Shaznay Lewis do it this year and wants to push herself."

"The plan is for her song with KDA to come out soon and everyone around her is hoping it will encourage her to continue with more music," the insider further disclosed.

"Do Me Wrong," her debut single as a solo artist, was released in 2003. However, she was just dropped when it didn't become a big hit.

She subsequently released a few more, her last tune was in 2012, when she sang on electronic DJ Fur Coat's track "Fall's Away."

Given her extensive background, it will be intriguing to observe the outcome of this latest endeavor.

All Saints 2024

What happened to All Saints, and where have all the members gone?

Thirty years have passed since the pop group's 1993 founding. But it took them a few years to become well-known, along with the addition of two additional band members.

The group's probably most well-known hit track, "Never Ever," was released in 1997.

The four vocalists shot to popularity and the quartet became one of the most successful British female groups of all time. However, their personal lives also garnered news, in addition to their music.

The band broke up (for the first time) in 2001 due to rumors of conflicts among the girls. Later, after signing with Parlophone Records, the quartet got back together.

The group reunited in 2014 for a run of live shows and the release of new music after splitting up again in 2009. The band announced in 2017 that they were working on a fifth studio album.

They still occasionally perform together, and in 2021 they had a special appearance at the Isle of Wight Festival. Each of them has independently recorded solo music under their respective identities. The foursome have stayed friends after their enormous chart success, and they frequently get back together to post pictures on their own Instagram profiles.

After All Saints broke up, Melanie Blatt was the first member to record a solo single. She collaborated with Artful Dodger on the song "TwentyFourSeven" in September of 2001.

In the UK, the song reached at number six.

She released her first-ever solo, "Do Me Wrong," in February 2002 after taking over Kelis' vocals on Outsidaz and Rah Digga's "I'm Leavin'" in the UK.

She took a short break before making a comeback with the release of her new single "See Me," which was featured on the Robots movie soundtrack.

None of her solo projects, though, was as successful as the songs by All Saints. She served as a judge and coach on New Zealand's version of The X Factor in 2013 and 2015.
