Britney Spears had reportedly chased her ex-husband, Sam Asghari, with an ax in one of their fights. The source revealed that this is the "last straw" that Asghari had with his short-lived marriage to the embattled pop star.
An In Touch Weekly source revealed that Asghari "got the worst" of Spears' freedom from conservatorship because of her erratic behavior that followed.
"Unfortunately, when she was free of her conservatorship, Sam got the worst of it. One of the last straws for Sam, there were many, Britney chased him with an axe," the insider claimed. "It was during one of their epic fights and Sam couldn't control her or talk her down. Sam is not a confrontational person and he doesn't like arguing. There was nothing he could do to calm her down this time."
The source added that the altercation with Spears and Asghari was so "bad" that the 30-year-old physical fitness expert was prompted to "leave" their Los Angeles home for his safety.
Reportedly, the "epic" fight happened when Spears was off her medication. "Talk of another conservatorship makes complete sense," the source added.

The couple married in June 2022 in an intimate ceremony attended by many of Spears' celebrity friends. Although the ceremony was marred by controversy, the two seemed happy during it and the months that followed.
However, after a year and two months after, Asghari filed for divorce in August 2023 due to irreconcilable differences. Their divorce was only finalized on May 2, 2024.
"The divorce was amicable and the prenup was not challenged," a source close to the scene told People. "Britney is continuing to flex her freedom and is moving on."
The same day the judge signed the divorce paper, TMZ reported that Spears got into a heated argument with her current boyfriend, Paul Soliz, at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles, California.
Since then, talks of Spears being placed in another conservatorship have emerged following her questionable behavior.
"They're considering their options," an In Touch Weekly insider revealed. "Britney's been on a downward spiral for a while now. What happened at the hotel was like a flashback to 2008."
