It's been almost a week since the news broke that "The Way" singer Ariana Grande and her boyfriend, Janoskians member Jai Brooks broke up. News initially broke on Twitter when watchful fans noticed that Grande wasn't taking questions about boys, had deleted Tumblr posts and expressed that "Boys come and go but my fans are here to say," at a NYC concert. The news was then all but confirmed when the two teen stars thanked Twitter fans for their support.

Though time heals all wounds, it seems as though Brooks may be taking the break up a little harder than Grande. Since the split became public knowledge, the Australian prankster and comedian has expressed his inability to sleep multiple times on his Twitter account. "6am still can't sleep ugh," he wrote on Aug. 21. Hours later, he followed that tweet with "Well that was the worst sleepless night ever."

Tuesday night wasn't the only case of insomnia for Brooks. Last night, he took to his Twitter again to express his restlessness. "Another sleepless night, thank god I have friends like @James_Yammouni and @OfficialVBravo," and "Still no sleep jeez crikey," he wrote.

Of course, the reasoning for Brooks' inability to sleep couldn't possibly be known, but his big break up with Grande could very well be the trigger.

The reason for the break up between Grande and Brooks is still unknown. Some sources and fans allege that the viral photo in which "Baby" singer Justin Bieber is kissing Grande on the cheek may have caused some jealousy in the relationship. Of course, after Beliebers lashed out at the rising R&B singer, Grande clarified that the two are only friends, but that doesn't mean the photo couldn't have caused issues in Grande's relationship.

Though the reason for the break up may never be disclosed, Grande keeps on chugging along at work and promoting her debut album. "Yours Truly" will be released on Sept. 3.
