Rapper 50 Cent received headlines for all the wrong reasons during the July 4th holiday. An ex-girlfriend claims the "In Da Club" songsmith broke into her home, kicked her and made a holy mess out of everything else. Investigations into the claim continue, but 50 came up with a humorous method to dispel claims that he was spending the holiday behind bars.

The rapper posted a series of humorous photos on his Instagram demonstrating that he wasn't in jail, but rather enjoying the expected high-profile lifestyle of a successful emcee. Each featured 50 hanging around his grand home, exclaiming that he wasn't in jail, he was (fill-in-the-blank).

Some examples: "I'm not in jail I'm in my kitchen fool," "I'm not in jail I'm in casino" and "I'm not in jail I'm on my Gucci couch." Our personal favorite: "I'm not in jail I'm by my waterfall."

It seemed that the rapper was still enjoying his day-off amidst all the scandal in the headlines.

Of course 50 announced a more official statement of denial earlier on Friday. After all, the potential for $46,000 in damages and five years in jail isn't something to be toyed with.

"Curtis Jackson (50's real name) denies these allegations as made against him," said Scott Leemon, the rapper's attorney. "It is important to note, Mr. Jackson has not been arrested and there is no warrant outstanding for his arrest."

Leemon said that 50's side would be launching its own investigation into the accusations of his ex-girlfriend.

50 was hit with a total of five charges stemming from the supposed incident, one count of misdemeanor domestic violence and four counts of misdemeanor vandalism.
