The Real Housewives of New Jersey's Teresa and Joe Giudice have been in a state of nonstop crisis for the last two weeks. First they were both slammed with federal jail time after pleading guilty to several counts of fraud, and then they immediately sat for an explosive interview with Andy Cohen. That chatfest showed fans just how out of touch with reality Teresa really is as she claimed not to understand her plea deal at all. On Wednesday Joe found himself in a courtroom once again because of his drivers license fraud case. This time around, Joe again took a plea deal, which means he was sentenced to 18-months in jail, a sentence that will run concurrent with the 41-months he already has to serve because of his financial crimes. Teresa was most certainly not at her husbands' side for this sentencing, instead she was reportedly meeting with a divorce attorney.

Sources close to the couple say that things between them are now worse than ever. As Teresa is focused on the kids that she will have to leave behind on Jan. 5 when she begins serving 15-months in a federal facility, Joe is rumored to be drinking more than ever and avoiding being at home with the family. While in public, the couple has presented a united front, behind the scenes Teresa is stunned that she will not only have to do time because of Joe's schemes, but she's going away first. That little factor is likely to cause an enormous amount of resentment on Teresa's end, and it is likely fueling the divorce talk.

What's really sad about this situation is the fact Joe has admitted to having addiction issues and rather than getting some help before he has to care for his kids round-the-clock, he is falling deeper into a hole. It's bad enough that these kids will have to lose their mother temporarily because of her mistakes, but their father isn't exactly going to be a rock for them at this rate either. Perhaps Teresa is trying to speed up divorce actions so that the girls can be left in the care of someone other than Joe, although it's hard to imagine him turning down the idea of them staying with other family members.

Do you think that there's any chance that Teresa won't file for divorce? Is she thinking ahead to a future without him after she serves her time? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below!
