Tweedy, the father-son duo of Jeff and Spencer, tore up Austin City Limits Saturday, Oct. 25 with a performance that included several Wilco covers.

The elder Tweedy is the frontman for the Heavy Metal Drummer band, and the Chicago group's songs are mostly done justice with help from members of Lucius. You can watch the full performance — which includes Wilco cuts "I Am Trying to Break Your Heart," "Jesus, Etc." and "Via Chicago," among others — below:

The performance came between dates on Wilco's 20th anniversary tour. We were there for their recent Nashville stop, and snapped some photos.

Jeff's wife and Spencer's mother, Sue, is currently battling lymphoma. Jeff recently spoke with Speakers in Code about how that affected the album creation process for Sukerie, which doubles as Sue's nickname:

"From around the beginning of February of this year on, it's been a pretty high anxiety time for our family, and I think the work was a welcome refuge for Spencer and I for some of the stress, but for also Susie and Sammy, who is Spencer's younger brother," he said. "There is some sense of normalcy in our family when music is being made, and when we're sharing it, and hearing some of it on the way to school.

"So that's why she's honored in the title. But, in general, things look good. She has a really, really positive prognosis, and we're all hoping for the best. But it's been difficult, as anyone who has ever been through any kind of health issue like this can tell you, it's just about the worst."
