Kendrick Lamar appears to be gearing up for something big as he continues his whirlwind media tour across the United States. He has been making appearances on the gauntlet of major hip-hop radio stations in New York, Los Angeles and elsewhere to build support for his latest single "i" and to talk about his forthcoming album. Over the weekend, he spoke to Devi Dev on Houston's 93.7 The Beat about his music, dealing with depression, his next album and looking to inspire others with his songs, notably "i."

As reported by Complex, K Dot spoke to Devi Dev about his battle with depression that goes back to his time as an adolescent to recently, saying, "Oh, yeah, I faced it then and even now in these recent years, being in the limelight, trying to balance your personal life with the music and what you do. You know it comes a lot of turmoil when you talking about money, when you talking about fame, fortune and success, a lot of things you got to handle and balance, and that brings a whole lot of depression."

He elaborated on the album cover for Good Kid m.A.A.d City and the video for "i" and how he wants to inspire kids with his music and videos. The interviewer tries to push and prod him to get information on the album. Lamar says the album is not done yet, but he knows the title. It may be released before the year is out, but it could be delayed until 2015.

The media tour does not end here for Kendrick. He will be the musical guest on Saturday Night Live this Saturday, where we will see if he will premiere something different, but the odds are he will perform "i." All eyes will be on Lamar over the next two months as the world wants his album as soon as he can get it done.
