Numerous publications have commented on how 2014 is the year of the booty...because you know...apparently guys haven't appreciated the female form until just now. Under the continuing wave of butt that have made headlines in recent weeks, including Kim Kardashian's "art" installation in Paper magazine, the folks at ABC are a tad worried what might happen when Jennifer Lopez and Iggy Azalea take the stage Sunday for a live performance of the former's hit "Booty."

Apparently the network's friends at the FCC aren't yet fans of the whole backside thing and we can't think of anything that is a bigger threat to that (or national security) than "Booty" on live TV. If you haven't listened to the single or watched the video yet (we just watched it for the first time for this article...we swear): The hook to the song is "big-big booty/what you got a big booty" repeated several times. The music video is noteworthy as Lopez and Azalea rub their noteworthy assets for nearly a minute before the pop star's first verse begins. Another concern for ABC is that the stars will opt for outfits similar to those of the video, as Lopez's one-piece swimsuit may cover all of her tummy...but conceals very little of the song's namesake.

The network has reportedly, and this is according to TMZ, told the performers in no uncertain terms that no rubbing shall be allowed nor any "butt crack" shown. But, just in case the ever rebellious pair opt to ignore said rules, the program will be on a four-second delay to give editors a chance to cut to other camera angles.

Apparently "spanking" has not been banned, for the record. We're curious if this was part of ABC's statement to TMZ or if the latter media agency volunteered the question "will spanking be allowed?" One would think with all the controversy surrounding Adrien Peterson at the moment, spanking would be the hotter (by which we mean "more relevant to society") issue.

Watch the video below and then watch the video proving that "Booty" is a part of an Illuminati scheme.
