Last Christmas, Khloe Kardashian gave herself the gift of filing for divorce from Lamar Odom, in the hopes of being able to finally step over him and move on. Instead of coming to terms with the reality that their marriage is over Odom has, right up until, now refused to file an official response to her divorce petition with the court. That means that almost a full year after filing her court documents, Kardashian is no closer to being divorced than she was a year ago.
Believe it or not, according to a report by Radar Online, because there has been no activity on this case for nearly a year, this divorce filing is actually heading for an automatic dismissal. That's something that Odom wouldn't mind having happen, as he has supposedly refused to sign anything because he is hoping for a reconciliation with Kardashian. There have been several rumors about the possibility of Kardashian giving Odom another chance but as of now, there's no proof that she is even slightly considering it.
Kardashian does have the option of filing a motion to have her divorce from Odom granted even without his official response. There has to be a system of checks and balances in place for instances where one party tries to purposely keep their ex stuck. That certainly is what appears to have gone on here, but Kardashian seems to be hesitating in going over Odom's head and just requesting that their divorce be granted.
Do you think that Kardashian is avoiding taking that final step because part of her still hopes for a reconciliation or is her frustration with Odom causing her to lose sight of the fact that she may have more control than she thinks? Perhaps, if the case is automatically dismissed, then they both win if neither of them ever truly wanted the divorce in the first place, right?
