    Fans of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" are aware Yolanda Foster has battled Lyme Disease for the last three years. She went undiagnosed for an entire year, and that seems to have made making a full recovery difficult. Foster seemed to be doing well, and in episodes of the hit Bravo show that are currently airing, the reality star seems to be doing well. Unfortunately, in December she suffered a setback that has really knocked her down a few pegs. Foster took to her Bravo blog to address her fans with a sad update.

  • Late Diem Brown Wanted to Win Final MTV 'Challenge' for Money to Start Family

    The death of Diem Brown in November seemed to really strike a nerve with a lot of people. She had risen to fame on MTV's "The Challenge" series and competed in several seasons. Almost from the moment Brown was introduced to viewers we knew she had cancer. She seemed to successfully beat it twice before getting sick all over again last August while filming "The Challenge: Battle of the Exes 2." Last night's premiere of the show, Jan. 6, was sad because Brown and her costar Ryan Knight have died since filming. What is really bittersweet was the motivation behind why Brown wanted to not only compete on the show again, but win the cash prize, she wanted to finally start a family at age 34. "If I won this money, it would be my fairy tale dream. I know people are sick of me talking about cancer, trust me, I was sick of living with cancer. But it did change my life. They had to remove my ovaries, and if I'm going to have kids, I need a surrogate. I have to pay anywhere from $20,000 to $30,000 per kid, so winning this prize, I could have four kids in the oven at the same time and get back on track and start my life," explained Brown.

  • 7-Year-Old Girl Lone Survivor in Kentucky Plane Crash That Killed Her Family

    Late last night a story broke that hits every emotional note imaginable. A 7-year-old is the soul survivor in a Kentucky plane crash that took the lives of both of her parents, her older sister and her cousin as well. Kentucky State Police identified the dead early Saturday as Marty Gutzler, 48, Kimberly Gutzler, 46, and 9-year-old Piper Gutzler. Also killed was 14-year-old Sierra Wilder, the survivor's cousin. All were from Nashville, Illinois.

  • Casey Kasem Finally Buried in Norway 6 Months After Death

    The only thing sadder than the fact that it took six months for Casey Kasem to be buried is the fact that it happened last Tuesday, Dec. 16, in Norway and his kids had no idea about it until today. The radio icon died in June and in the months that followed his wife Jean Kasem was locked in a battle with his grown children who believed he had been a victim of elder abuse. The LAPD had been actively investigating the circumstances surrounding Kasem's death and his burial pretty much puts a swift ending to any chance of charges being filed against Jean. According to a report by TMZ, Kasem was finally laid to rest last Tuesday in Vestre Gravlund, one of Norway's biggest cemeteries. Jean had claimed that she wanted her husband buried in Norway because of his heritage, but his children have suspected all along that she was withholding his remains so no tests could be done to further pinpoint what contributed to his death. They have firmly believed that bed sores led to the fatal infection that ultimately killed Kasem, but now there is really no chance of proving that even if it was the case.

Melissa did step out on Friday to attend the 2014 NASCAR Sprint Cup Awards in Vegas and it was kind of hard to ignore the fact that she looks different.

  • Woman, 23, Dies Aboard United Airlines Flight 115 from London to Newark

    Travelers on a United Airlines flight from London's Heathrow Airport were faced with an in-flight medical crisis last night, Dec. 1, while en-route to Newark Liberty Airport in New Jersey. Apparently, a 23-year-old woman became unconscious on Flight 115 and attempts to resuscitate her were unsuccessful. A doctor on board was unable to save the woman, who was traveling alone. The woman, who was pronounced dead at around 8:30 p.m., has yet to be identified. Police and a medical examiner greeted the plane, which landed at 9:45 p.m. and, while no official cause of death has been given, Port Authority officials claim that she appears to have died of natural causes. According to the "Daily Mail," the woman had pre-existing medical problems, but as of now no one is confirming what they may be.

  • LAPD Turns Investigation of Allegations that Casey Kasem Was Abused By Wife to D.A.'s Office

    Can you believe that nearly six months after radio icon Casey Kasem's death he still has yet to be buried? Jean Kasem has kept her late husband's body in Oslo, Norway, where she claims he should be buried because of his family's roots. Casey's children launched an elder abuse investigation against Jean and the LAPD has finally confirmed that it has turned its findings over to the D.A.'s office. According to TMZ, it has already said that it is unlikely that any charges will be filed due to lack of evidence against Jean. That lack of evidence is the real issue here, and Casey's children believe she has fought an autopsy to protect herself. In fact, not only is Casey still unburied, but he has yet to be embalmed, which means any evidence of mistreatment is literally disintegrating away. Casey's daughter Kerri Kasem has especially pushed for the investigation because she believes Jean's neglect led to infected bed sores that may have played a part in her father's death.

    Perhaps one of the saddest stories of this past week is the news that Diem Brown has lost her battle with cancer. The 32-year old had starred on seven seasons of MTV's "The Challenge" and she had used her fame as a platform to educate about every aspect of cancer. She was first diagnosed with ovarian cancer nearly ten years ago and then fought a second round successfully back in 2012. In late August of this year, Brown's final battle began. By October she had learned that her cancer had spread to the lining of her stomach, her liver and her lymph nodes. Perhaps the saddest thing of all was the desperation Brown showed earlier this week in wanting to live.
