5 Seconds of Summer are expected to drop their sophomore album sometime in 2015, but they've found a way to tide their insatiable fans over with a new concert record, LIVESOS (due Dec. 15).

"Playing live has been something we have been the most passionate about from the beginning," a statement on the group's website read. "All we want is for our fans to come to the shows, rock out and have one of the best times they've ever experienced. Also when a room is full of you guys from all different walks of life, you can let it go when you come to the shows and be free to be yourself."

In August, drummer Ashton Irwin said the group had worked on "upwards of 100 songs" for their debut this year, and that "we definitely would like to have another album out there some time next year." (Billboard)

"We haven't had much time to get back in the studio at the moment," Irwin added. "I think when you're on the road you've got to just live out what's happening, then when you get back to the studio you've got a lot to write about. I don't want to write the same album again, so I go out there and see what life has for me, and then I'll go back and I'll write about it. We've got a lot of time coming up, actually, to write and record again, so I'm really looking forward to that 'cause I'm feeling like I miss that at the moment."
