There seems to be some trouble in Weezy paradise. Lil Wayne took to Twitter today, Dec. 4, to shed some light on the constant delays with his 11th studio album Tha Carter V. Weezy claims it has not been released yet because Birdman and Cash Money Records refuse to put it out. The rapper said he wants off his longtime label because he feels like a "prisoner."

"To all my fans, I want u to know that my album won't and hasn't been released bekuz Baby & Cash Money Rec. refuse to release it," Weezy tweeted.

Tha Carter V has been delayed multiple times and was due out Dec. 9, but that may not happen now.

Wayne claimed the latest delay is not his fault and apologized to his fans and family for the situation:

The problem must be severe because Weezy followed up that tweet with one stating that he wants off the label:

Wayne's been with the CM since 1999's Tha Block Is Hot.

With contracts and legal obligations, it will no doubt be difficult for Weezy to get off Cash Money quickly and release his new effort to legions of anxious fans.
