In the three months since Joan Rivers' untimely death, her daughter Melissa Rivers has barely been seen in public. The 46-year old mother of one was absolutely gutted by the loss of her mother and while she has tried to put one foot in front of the other, her social media accounts reflect the fact that she is still buried in grief. Melissa did step out on Friday to attend the 2014 NASCAR Sprint Cup Awards in Vegas and it was kind of hard to ignore the fact that she looks different.

According to a report by Radar Online, Melissa appears to be following directly in her mother's cosmetically enhanced footsteps because her face looks quite different and not necessarily better. While it's certainly not the least bit uncommon for celebs to choose to go under the knife in the hopes of gaining a more youthful appearance, in this instance we almost have to wonder if there is a bit more to it than that.

Melissa finally cracked into Joan's Twitter account just in time for Thanksgiving and has been posting things on her behalf ever since. It's almost as if their identities have become entwined during Melissa's grieving process. Perhaps having unnecessary surgical procedures is another thing that somehow connects her to her mother. Joan used to love to joke about all of the surgery that she had done over the years. Do you think that Melissa is going to follow in her footsteps simply because she thinks that it's something her mother would have approved of?

It already looks like Melissa doesn't have to do very much more to have already gone too far with her face, don't you think? Will she stop while she's slightly ahead or is Melissa going to turn into Joan 2.0? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below!
