In case you didn't know, Snoop Dogg's son, Cordell Broadus, is a solid football player. He's actually one of he top college prospects in the nation as a wide receiver. ESPN jumped at the opportunity to document the whole process recently in a new reality show Snoop & Son: A Dad's Dream, Vibe notes. A trailer for the series dropped today (Dec. 19), and it doesn't look half bad.

There doesn't look to be too much turmoil or friction in the clip below. Snoop's more of an encouraging fan of his son's Bishop Gorman team from Las Vegas. "I'm more of a friend than I am a father because a father to me is someone disciplinary, who you're really scared of. There's fear and respect. It's more of just love with me," the rapper says." Check out the trailer below.

All of that love appears to be paying off, too. According to ESPN's recruiting page, the senior raked in 15 offers from top colleges as of Oct. 21. Broadus is being courted by Arizona State, Florida State, Notre Dame, UCLA and USC. His only visit was with Arizona State in late October.

Broadus is well above the national average statistic-wise. This year alone, he caught 39 passes for 602 yards and 11 touchdowns. His career total for receiving yards came to 1,810, according to MaxPreps.

It will be interesting to see how involved Snoop Dogg is during the whole recruiting process. Finding the right school is hard enough for most seniors. Add in a famous father and extreme hype, and you have yourself a reality show winner.

"Everybody sees it as 'can Snoop Dogg's son really play football or is he all hype?'" Broadus adds.

The five-part series airs on Jan. 14.
