Lady Gaga's next album might be a little funky. A photo of the "Born This Way" singer surfaced recently and she was in the studio with Chic's Nile Rodgers, Billboard notes. Acclaimed songwriter Diane Warren was also pictured, meaning that there's a super trio of talent working on something big. Gaga's people did not confirm the collaboration, but a picture is worth a thousand rumors (or something like that).

Let's break this one down.

First and foremost is the performer. Gaga just released a solid LP with Tony Bennett titled Cheek to Cheek. It contained jazz standards. So perhaps Mother Monster was bit by the collaboration bug. She's never been one to shy away from partnering up with legends. Aside from Bennett, Gaga also worked with Beyoncé on "Telephone" and E Street saxophonist Clarence Clemons on "The Edge of Glory."

Rodgers has been around the game for a long time. He's produced albums by Mick Jagger, David Bowie and Duran Duran in addition to playing in Chic and maintaining an active solo career. Most fans today probably know Rodgers from his work on Daft Punk's Random Access Memories and its hit song "Get Lucky."

Finally, there's Warren. She's won a slew of awards for her songwriting talents. She penned Celine Dion's "Because You Loved Me," LeAnn Rimes' "How Do I Live" and Aerosmith's monster "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing."

So we have a contemporary pop icon in Gaga, a funky hitmaker in Rodgers and a songwriting powerhouse in Warren. This is going to be good.
