Atlanta rapper 2 Chainz has shared a new track titled "Road Dawg," from his upcoming T.R.U. Jack City mixtape, which you can check out below. The song features some very sparse production by DJ Spinz, who lays off the beats entirely for large sections of the track, leaving 2 Chainz to do most of the heavy lifting himself when it comes to the song's momentum.

"Road Dawg" is just the latest song to be shared from 2 Chainz's upcoming mixtape T.R.U. Jack City, which will serve as a showcase for up and coming rappers such as Young Dolph, Cap-1, Bankroll Fresh, Skooly, Short Dawg, Travis Porter, Lil Juju, and Peewee Longway. New songs will be shared through Hot New Hip-Hop every week leading up to the tape's Jan. 27 release, with the previously shared tracks including "Please Don't" and "Trap House Stalkin'."

2 Chainz's most recent mixtape Based on a Purple Story was released back in 2012. His most recent studio album B.O.A.T.S. II: Me Time was released back in 2013, and was his second studio album overall, following his 2012 debut Based On a T.R.U. Story. Two singles were released from B.O.A.T.S. II: "Feds Watching" featuring Pharrell, and "Used 2."

In the same interview with Revolt in which he announced his T.R.U. Jack City mixtape, 2 Chainz also revealed that his third studio album would be dropping early in 2015. No title, tracklist, cover, or exact release date have yet been given, though according to MTV, the album will definitely not be titled B.O.A.T.S. III. "It's gon' be a whole new campaign," 2 Chainz said about the album, "I can't wait to come back in and unravel that and show y'all what's up with that."
