Prince and his all-female backing band 3RDEYEGIRL are back. After teaming up to release the album PLECTRUMELECTRUM last September and slaying Saturday Night Live in November, now the funk legend and his girls are back to mesmerize you once again. Today (Jan. 19), Prince and 3RDEYEGIRL released a dizzying, trippy new music video for their latest single "Marz."

"Marz," which appears near the end of PLECTRUMELECTRUM, is a quick, two-minute blast of funk, electronic music and rock. And the only way to pack all that energy into a music video, at least in Prince's eyes, was to show off a live gig.

The music video almost plays like an old school late night TV performance, with distorted, fuzzy video footage of Prince and 3RDEYEGIRL taking the stage.

Wearing his signature three-eyed sunglasses and big afro as he is wont to do in this musical era, Prince leads his ladies with cool energy and his massive guitar. All while performing behind his signature "Prince" symbol, of course.

The video itself wouldn't be anything special - there's just a straightforward performance with green and orange filers, fuzzy VHS-style effects and a rocking track. But, Prince is a notably magnetizing live performer, and he brings all of that to the short "Marz" clip.
