Scott Weiland has apparently been a busy guy. The singer has been working on a new release with The Wildabouts titled Blaster, out March 31, while also recording an album with the supergroup Art of Anarchy. The band features former Guns N' Roses guitarist Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal, Disturbed bassist John Moyer and brothers Jon and Vince Votta on guitar and drums. While Art of Anarchy's debut is also due this spring, Weiland is more focused on his solo career.

"I just saw some press about a side project called Art of Anarchy that I worked on last year," Weiland wrote. "I wrote and put my vocals down for these guys and had fun doing a couple of videos too; we had a lot of fun," he wrote in a Facebook post, via Rolling Stone.

He went on to wish the band luck with their tour, hoping that they find the right frontman to take on vocal duties.

"When they find their front man to hit the road and play some dates, check them out," he added. "In the meantime, if you want to check out where I'm at RIGHT NOW, check out my band, SCOTT WEILAND AND THE WILDABOUTS."

Weiland will be on the road with The Wildabouts soon — the band is scheduled to play the Sundance Film Festival next week and South by Southwest in March.

This is Weiland's second supergroup, following a lengthy and moderately successful stint in Velvet Revolver, which featured former Guns N' Roses members Slash, Duff McKagan and Matt Sorum. Prior to that he was in a little band called Stone Temple Pilots.

The singer seems excited about this next chapter.

"The sound we were getting felt original and infectious and brought me back to the feelings I had when I made my first couple records. Just excitement, feeling invigorated. Youthful," he said about recording with The Wildabouts.
