We can't tell you who's going to be headlining at the Glastonbury music festival this year. But we CAN tell you who won't be playing on Sunday, and in doing so give a pretty strong hint as to who may be headlining on either Friday or Saturday. The band in question, Arcade Fire, confirmed on Monday that it will be playing at Marlay Park in Dublin, Ireland on June 29, the Sunday of Glastonbury weekend.

So sure, the group won't be playing Glastonbury on closing night, but those who plan on attending the festival can take that as a good sign. Arcade Fire frontman Win Butler said in previous interviews that he hopes the band will be able to hit the UK festival circuit during 2014. His apparent eagerness, coupled with the band's suddenly scheduled show on the Isle, suggests that the group is sticking around with the intent of landing at one of the world's most established music festivals.

More good news for fans of alternative rock, assuming that the hypothesis about Arcade Fire leaving from Glastonbury to head to Ireland are true: The Pixies will also be making an appearance at the festival. The band, which recently named A Perfect Circle's Paz Lenchatin as its touring bassist, is scheduled to open for Arcade Fire at the Dublin show. Therefore it wouldn't be surprising at all if Black Francis' band stopped by Glastonbury for a set of their own.

Arcade Fire will also play a pair of show earlier in the month at Earls Court in London.
