Queen Elizabeth II's death caused many establishments to close down across the United Kingdom and networks to change their regular programming as a form of mourning, but Arcade Fire still went on with their show in London.

Hours before the show took place at the iconic O2 Arena, the venue took to Twitter to share that they're "incredibly saddened" to hear the tragic news and they would like to extend their sincerest condolences to members of the Royal Family.

However, despite the national mourning, the arena will remain open for its scheduled shows.

Arcade Fire made rounds online after their show as they still performed even though the longest-reigning monarch passed away.

During the opening of their show, they switched things up by changing their usual setlist and performing a Louis Armstrong song in honor of Her Majesty.

"So @arcadefire did an incredible homage/tribute to the Queen right at the start of the show by playing the traditional New Orleans song used when someone passes sung by Louis Armstrong before then doing a min silence for the Queen & then going into Tunnels," one concertgoer wrote.

Arcade Fire Still Facing Controversy After Win Butler's Allegations

Last week, the band's opening act, Feist, took to Instagram to announce that she will no longer perform along with the group. The songstress noted that she would never stand for the band.

Her exit comes after several people accused frontman Win Butler of sexual assault. The alleged victims were reportedly between the ages of 18 and 23 when the sexual encounters happened.

Win Butler has already addressed the issue, admitting that he had sexual interactions with the people mentioned above, but he insisted that it was all consensual.
