Glen Campbell's heartbreaking I'm Still Here soundtrack song "I'm Not Gonna Miss You" won the Grammy, but could it take home the Oscar, too? As the country music legend suffers from Alzheimer's disease, tonight (Feb. 22), Tim McGraw filled in for him by performing the stunning song at the biggest night on Hollywood.

Starting off quietly and simply, McGraw, wearing a tuxedo and his signature cowboy hat, sat pensively on a stool, starting off his tribute of "I'm Not Gonna Miss You" without musical accompaniment. Soon, the piano kicked in, adding an emotional punch and a bit of beauty to the performance.

After the explosive showing from The Lonely Island and Tegan and Sara, it was a much-needed reprise from the noise, reminding the millions of viewers at home that not every Best Original Song nominee needs to be filled with glitz and production.

Watch Tim McGraw perform Glen Campbell's "I'm Not Gonna Miss You" at the 2015 Oscars below:

"I'm Not Gonna Miss You" is nominated for Best Original Song at the 2015 Oscars, alongside "Glory" from Selma, "Everything Is Awesome" from The LEGO Movie, "Lost Stars" from Begin Again and "Grateful" from Beyond the Lights.

Tim McGraw was just one of several acts on hand to perform music at the 2015 Oscars, joining The Lonely Island, Common and John Legend, Rita Ora, Maroon 5 and Adam Levine, Jennifer Hudson and Lady Gaga.
