Lady Gaga is giving a new studio treatment to her second Artpop single "Do What U Want." After performing the sexy track on The Voice earlier this month with coach/singer Christina Aguilera to rave reviews, the two pop divas took to the studio to record the track over again. When will the new spin on one of the best pop songs of the year get released? Well, the answer is: tomorrow.

Happy New Year!

According to an Amazon.com preorder (via Just Jared), the Gaga/Aguilera version of "Do What U Want" will drop on Jan. 1, 2014.

Little else is known about the re-release of "Do What U Want," except that it is a studio version and that it clocks in 3 minutes, 36 seconds.

The Aguilera version of "Do What U Want" comes in the wake of mediocre chart success for the original single version and a delayed music video.

Thus far, the R. Kelly version has peaked at No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 100, and it currently sits at No. 16 after nine weeks. Additionally, Gaga teased the Terry Richardson-directed music video earlier this month, but the official visual for "Do What U Want" has yet to receive an official release date.

With a good bit of controversy surrounding R. Kelly arising after a Village Voice article exposed his penchant for having sexual relations with underage teenage girls in Chicago, the Aguilera version of "Do What U Want" could be Gaga's camp trying to separate her from Kelly.
