It may go down as the only time you'll see Grammy winner Fiona Apple, famed producer Judd Apatow, and comedian and actor Kevin Hart on one stage during the course of an event. Friday night, the three were among those who performed during this edition of Judd Apatow and Friends, a semi-regularly occuring show that takes place at Largo at the Coronet in Los Angeles.

Apple, the singer whose song "Criminal" won her a 1998 Grammy for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance, performed seven songs, joined by Jon Brion, who performed his own powerful set during the night.

Armed without a setlist, Apple and Brion performed a variety of songs, including the George Gershwin standard "My Cousin from Milwaukee," which Apple said she is known to sing in the shower. Apple sang on Brion's song "Trouble," remarking it was the first time she had ever performed one of his songs.

Kevin Hart performed some standup on the night, saying at the end of it that he had so much fun, he was going to donate $10,000 of his own money to the charity. Saturday Night Live's Pete Davidson also performed, giving a first look at some of his material for the upcoming Comedy Central Roast of Justin Bieber.

Apatow, producer of classic comedies like The 40-Year Old Virgin, Knocked Up and Superbad, has previously brought high-level celebrities to Largo in an effort to raise money for a good cause. For his own set, Apatow made jokes about Bill Cosby, like saying, "Hell for Bill Cosby should be getting f*cked by Bill Cosby." A heckler was also escorted out of the venue during Apatow's performance.

But it was Apple whom most showed up to see perform. Among the songs that were played was her cover of the Cy Coleman song that Frank Sinatra shed light on, "Why Try to Change Me Now?"
