Madonna kicked off her week-long residency on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Tuesday, March 17, performing the single "Living for Love" from her new album Rebel Heart.

Despite a recent snafu at the BRIT Awards last month, Madonna proved Tuesday she still has some killer dance moves. The surprise of the performance came when Ellen DeGeneres herself acted as a supporting dancer. Though it was a spirited effort on her behalf, I would not advise you to quit your day job, Ellen.

Madonna has been all over the news as of late. From giving advice to Kanye West on his stage crashing to accusing BBC Radio 1 of ageism for not playing her song, she has been the center of a lot of controversy lately.

Rebel Heart recently fell to Sam Smith's In the Lonely Hour on the British Albums Charts. It is the first Madonna album not to chart at No. 1 in the U.K. since her 1994 album Bedtime Stories.

BBC Radio 1 decided to keep Rebel Heart off its playlist, to which Madonna cited ageism.

"I was like, 'Wait a second. Shouldn't it have to do with whether you wrote a good, catchy pop song?'" Madonna said. "My manager said to me, 'If you're not in your 20s, it's hard. You might get your record played in your 30s. There's a handful of people who do -- Pharrell got lucky. But if you're in your 50s, you can forget it.'

We know of at least one person who is not ageist -- Ellen DeGeneres -- who will have the Queen of Pop on her show throughout this week. Madonna will perform again on Wednesday's edition of Ellen, with a comedy bit slated for Thursday's program.
