There have been so many rumors regarding RHONJ ever since Teresa Giudice turned herself in to a federal facility to begin serving a 15-month prison term for financial fraud. First we were hearing that the reality show was going to take a breather, then focus groups supposedly led Bravo to decide to just recast in order to refresh the show. At least two different PR groups have put out casting calls, and from that names of possible contenders have started to leak out. Executive Producer Andy Cohen says not to believe anything just yet on the casting rumors because nothing is set in stone yet.

E! recently interviewed Cohen and asked him various questions about the Housewives franchise as a whole. When it came to RHONJ, Cohen confirmed that a broad casting net has been thrown out there and that it is an ongoing process with nothing really decided just yet.

And no conversation about the Jersey Housewives would be complete without discussing Giudice, right?

Well, "As for Teresa and Real Housewives of New Jersey, Andy said he has not spoken with her since she turned herself in to prison. 'I'm kind of checking in through Dina [Manzo] to find out how she's doing, and by all accounts she's hanging in there and doing OK and we'll watch what happens with that one,'" said E!'s report.

At least Cohen has confirmed that the show is going to continue on without Giudice. Do you think they would be wise to clean house with the cast to sort of cast out the shady years of the series? While some fans still support Giudice, many feel she spent years on camera purposely deceiving her fans, and that bad energy will still be there this season unless major changes are made.
