Colbie Caillat's "Lucky" duet with Jason Mraz earned them both a Grammy. Now she's back with a nomination for her new duet with Gavin Degraw, "We Both Know," featured in the film Safe Haven. The category: Best Song Written For Visual Media. She also collaborated with Taylor Swift, and was the featured artist in Swift's Grammy-winning Fearless album.

Caillat just came off a long tour and sat down with CBS Radio.com to dish how she stays fit during the crazy schedule and travel. As a good start, her sister is her personal chef and trainer while she's away. Before performances she sticks to a general routine.

"I try not to eat a couple hours before I sing because it's hard to sing with a full tummy," Caillat says. "Something like like salads, quinoa, avocado, hummus and carrots..."

When the show is over, that's where the challenge sets in. Caillat says that after a long day she often craves greasy foods.

She admits there's something so warm about comfort foods like Italian pasta, or a big breakfast of quiche and waffle smothered in Nutella.

Overall she tries to stay healthy by packing her diet with lots of vegetables -- she is a vegetarian, after all. Caillat struggles with the vegan diet, however. Even being a vegetarian is tough when she is presented with fresh fish in Hawaii. Traveling opens musicians up to a whole host of foods that may go against their current diet.

Caillat's will be playing the Dubai Jazz Festival in February. Check out her full video interview here:
