Ludacris is getting ready to release his ninth album, Ludaversal, which is due out next week. The rapper, who stars in Furious 7, stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to perform his new single "Grass is Always Greener." The Roots joined Luda for the new tune, which comes a day after the video for another Ludaversal track, "Call Ya Bluff," dropped, HotNewHipHop notes.

The track is an autobiographical tune, with Luda rhyming about his career. "Did some movies and started missing this rap shit / Back to rap and starting missing them movies / Left these hoes to settle down with just one chick / Get with one chick started missing them groupies," he raps. Check out the performance below.

Ludaversal follows up the rapper's 2010 album Battle of the Sexes. The effort featured guest spots by Nicki Minaj ("My Chick Bad"), Trey Songz ("Sex Room") and Gucci Mane ("Party No Mo").

"It might seem strange to praise a rapper for his progressive attitude toward women and sex when he has songs like 'Move Bitch' on his résumé. But on Battle Of The Sexes, Ludacris treats his strong female verbal sparring partners as equals. Life is one big party for the Disturbing Tha Peace head honcho, and on Sexes, that party invariably ends in the bedroom," A.V. Club wrote.

Furious 7 hits theaters today, March 27. Luda has appeared in three of the franchise's previous films - 2 Fast 2 Furious, Fast Five and Fast & Furious 6. This will be the final film to feature the Paul Walker, who has been a main character in all of the movies except the third. Walker died tragically in a car accident in 2013.

In February, Luda said that Walker finished about 80 percent of the movie before the accident. The film's production halted for awhile and Walker's friends mourned his death. When they went back to work, it was business as usual, in honor of the fallen actor.

"Then when we returned, we realized that he would have wanted us to finish it and carry on his legacy in the right way. That's what bonded us together and kept us strong and made us finish the film," he told Billboard.
