Louis Tomlinson is doing what Louis Tomlinson does best in the wake of Zayn Malik quitting One Direction... fighting back about his former bandmate's bourgeoning solo career. After getting into a Twitter spat with Malik's album producer Naughty Boy, now Tomlinson is dismissing rumors that the leaked demo "I Won't Mind" was actually intended for 1D.

Earlier in the day, The Irish Mirror and The Daily Mail reported that the stripped down, folky track was originally intended for One Direction's latest album FOUR. A "One Direction insider" told The Daily Mail, "It's important fans know this isn't a solo Zayn song or even representative of material he might record in the future. If you listen to the track it is clearly a song written with One Direction in mind for their last album. It's not new, nor is it a Zayn Malik solo track."

The Irish Mirror picked up on the Daily Mail story, writing in depth about the rising feud between Naughty Boy and Tomlinson in the process.

But, Tomlinson is not standing for the idea that "I Won't Mind" was originally intended for 1D and an old demo. In the spirit of April Fools' Day, the remaining One Directioner asked whether or not he was being pranked by the tabloids, dismissing the idea that "I Won't Mind" was anything but a new track.

So, it seems as though tensions are still high with the admittedly outspoken singer.

For his own part, Malik has continued to remain out of the spotlight for the most part since departing One Direction. However, he has confirmed that he will be working on a solo record as his former bandmates work on their fifth studio album.
