The BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge got its latest genre-bending cover today (April 10) courtesy of Nick Jonas. During a pit stop in the U.K., the "Chains" singer broke out his acoustic guitar for a jazzy, bluesy and acoustic rendition of electro-pop group Years & Years' latest single "King."

Gone were the heavy synthesizers and the thumping beat of the original dance track. Jonas swapped the modern instruments out for classic instrumentation, bringing in his guitar, a drumkit and a piano for his own rendition of the single.

His sweet, buttery voice gave the song new life, blended with a slowed down tempo "King" was almost wholly unrecognizable with all of the soul that Jonas put into it.

Watch the performance below... and get ready to melt.

Jonas is just the latest artist to give a song a whole new makeover in the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge. Recently, Hozier, CHVRCHES, Ed Sheeran and more have gotten down in the unique space.
