Former boy band members The Jonas Brothers's Nick Jonas, 'N SYNC's Lance Bass and New Kids on the Block's Jonathan Knight commented on Zayn Malik's choice to exit One Direction. Malik dropped out of 1D's tour last week and then announced that he was no longer going to be a part of the boy band.

Nick Jonas, the youngest Jonas brother, had some thoughts on Malik's leaving.

"You know, there's never an easy time to make a decision like that," Jonas told E! News. "I commend him for doing what he feels is right for him and you got to stay true to yourself."

The Jonas Brothers disbanded a few years ago, and Jonas has established his own solo career, with his chart-topping song "Jealous," and shed his good-guy image.

Former 'N SYNC member Lance Bass took to Twitter to mourn Malik's exit along with the other One Direction fans.

Former New Kids on the Block member Jonathan Knight also tweeted his support for Malik's decision. Knight dropped out of NKOTB in 1994 due to his panic attacks, and the group disbanded shortly after.

One Directioners are worried that since Malik jumped ship that some other members might leave. But One Direction member Liam Payne assured fans that they weren't going anywhere through a tweet.

This followed a statement he posted on Twitter expressing his support for Malik and thanking One Direction's loyal fans.
