When Kelly Clarkson and her husband Brandon Blackstock finally welcome their first child together later this year it looks like the little bundle will be wrapped in pink. Today (Jan. 20) the first American Idol announced that she's expecting a baby girl.
Clarkson took to her official Twitter account to make the announcement with only the kind of peppiness and humor that she can muster. "We just found out we're having a girl officially! I knew it! Only a girl could cause this much drama with all this vomiting ha!" she wrote.
Clarkson's girl news follows Clarkson's Nov. 20 announcement that she and her new husband Blackstock were expecting their first child together. Clarkson's pregnancy was previously long-rumored, but since she confirmed the news, she has been open about the struggles of pregnancy on Twitter and in interviews, namely a lot of morning sickness.
The baby girl will be the first child for Clarkson and Blackstock's third. He has two children, Savannah, 12, and Seth, 6, from his first marriage.
Clarkson has largely been lying low since announcing her pregnancy. However, in October, she released the holiday season's best-selling Christmas album Wrapped in Red, which she heavily promoted leading up to Dec. 25.
